Bag Filled

I encountered some unexpected surprises on my first cruise. First of all, all of the meals are paid for, but you'll pay a premium for any drinks, including bottled water and soda. Now I take along a carry-on size bag, filled with bottled water and soda to consume, and use the bag as it empties for dirty clothing or souvenirs.
I didn't realize that room service is included in the price, however you will be expected to tip each time.
Everyone seems to want the early dinner seating, so often even if you've requested it, you will be assigned the later one. Some people want to leave the ship when in port for a night on the town, so they want to eat earlier. A few prefer later seating so they can enjoy the activities off-board and still get back to eat the dinner already paid for on-board then relax or go to bed.
If you order something in the dining room and don't like it (highly unlikely, the food is great), you can order something else. I wasn't sure about a choice one night, so I ordered two different entrees, unfortunately for my growing girth I loved them both. Try whatever you like, it's already paid for, one of my kids decided to try escargot.
It takes awhile to get onto the ship what with issuing the ship credit cards etc. But just wait til it's time to get off, you will be waiting out on the decks, lounges, etc for quite awhile, sometimes hours as luggage is checked over and everyone goes through customs. You cannot wait in your room, as they begin preparing for the next cruise as soon as you dock. So have drinks, a book, snacks, something to entertain the kids as you wait.

where can I get my sons punching bag filled with sand?
I bought my son a punching bag on ebay. The bag needs to be filled with sand, does anyone know of a place in LA. It could be LA, Pasadena, Westwood.
The best place to get lots of sand cheaply is to get it at a landscaping supply. There may be issues with the sand being wet, and may be issues getting the sand in the bag. I usually just have the stuff dumped into my truckbed and dump it into my flower beds.
