Promotional Clothing- 5 Tips for getting your Corporate Clothing right
Keeping your staff happy is not always easy but when it comes to Corporate Clothing you must get it right. Follow these 5 easy steps to make sure that you keep your staff and your customer smiling.
1. Evaluate what type of uniform you need for the conditions in which they will be worn
This may seem to be very obvious but you would be amazed at how often uniforms are purchased without a thought to what duties will be carried out by those wearing them and under what conditions they are worn. Recently a well known client asked us to provide some very heavy duty garments for their Cornish warehouse. They chose this material because their warehouse in Aberdeen had used them and they were very well received. However they forgot to note that in Cornwall where the new uniforms were to be used not only was the weather entirely different but the Cornish warehouse was a new air conditioned facility, unlike the Scottish warehouse which was old, full of draughts and had many more doors.
2. Select the correct fabrics.
Making sure you choose the correct fabric is very important because these uniforms will probably be worn for at least eight to ten hours a day. Check out how much wear they will be expected to take. Light nylon shirts are not much use to long distance lorry drivers any more than heavy twill cotton is suitable for a chef working in a hot kitchen.
3. Engage your staff in the selection process
Everybody likes to have their say in everything these days and the choice of Corporate Clothing is no different. Getting the opinions of your staff is vital because if they feel they were part of the selection process then you can be assured that they will back the final decision and support it.
4. Measure twice and cut once!!
This is great advice because unless you give people actual samples to try on the chances of getting the sizing of your new uniforms correct for everyone is almost Nil. How many of us really know our right size, let's face it most of us would like to think we are at least one size smaller than we actually are. When you buy your clothes in one shop as many people do the chances of that shops sizing being the same as your manufacturer is very slim.
5. Plan to fail or fail to plan. Always assume the stock will arrive late and that there will be some sizing issues. Always over-order by up to 5% to cater for all eventualities, the small extra investment is well worth it.
If in doubt then ask the experts, your suppliers will have encountered these problems lots of times before. Your supplier should be able to give you numerous good references from satisfied clients and if he can't then you should not be dealing with him.

I just bought a used car with several dime-sized spots of dried glue on the cloth seats. The spots appear to be a brownish heavy duty construction glue. Is there a cleaning product that will remove these dried glue spots without harming the fabric or fabric color? Thanks for any help you can give.
