What iPod is the Nike Plus running thing compatible with?

I looked on line and in some places it said more than others. Also for those of you with one, is it worth it?

It is compatible with all iPod nano's (1-4th gen) provided the software is up to date. And the 2nd gen iPod touch. (iPod touch first gen doesn't have the built in reciever for the nike + system).

It is not compatible with iPod classic and probably never will be. iPod classic is a hard drive model (aka moving parts) so apple has not made it compatible with the system. (Both the nano and touch are flash memory).

Also, don't forget that you do need a pair of nike+ shoes, a compatible computer, and an internet connection.

And is it worth it. If all it did was track run times accurately then it would just be personal call. But the way it let's you sync up with the nike+ community, and outputs graphs and all kinds of cool things. Honestly, I can't live with out it. It's probably the best form of entertainment I've found...well ever!
